Back then maybe I didn’t realize the journey that I was taking on. I didn’t fully realize how I was getting things done easier than everyone else. Everybody thought I was a geek (I sort of was), but it wasn’t me, it was the fact that I was using a more intuitive system on a better built machine than everyone else. Neither them or myself realized that at the moment.

When I graduated, I got an iMac Flower Power and a Cube for my starting design business (Both systems remain in my office and are functional but we don’t use them anymore). My personal computer remained my PowerBook, and as years passed both my work and my home were run on macs. I’ve got the 2nd gen iPod, and many more later. I’ve got the iPhone, iPhone 3, iPhone 4, iPad and so on. I can honestly say that I am convinced on both the practical and aesthetically superior features of all the systems made by Apple.

But I didn’t fully understand the power of it until one time my almost two year old son stole the iPhone from me, pressed the home button and unlocked it, for the first time ever, without anyone telling or showing him how to do it.

Thank you very much Steve and all your team for changing our approach to technology, for creating interfaces that we can really use without any previous knowledge.

You know how everybody say that nowadays kids are born with the technology «chip» ?
